Sometimes man builds and nature gets destroyed … but not always. This hotel railing in Costa Rica has merged with the tree and both are living together harmoniously …
And if you look carefully, you might notice that the tree has created its own little man-like creature to assist in holding the railing in place.
Even the patina on the railing has begun to look more like bamboo, or some such plant stem, than the painted metal it actually is.
Enjoy,
Al

Very strange, but not as strange as the one I saw years ago where a fast-growing tropical tree had grown around a motorbike!!
LOL, I would love to see something like that, Gill. Guess one needs to watch out where they park when in the tropics.
Probably not a good idea to take long naps either!
And you know, one other thing jumps out at me here. Anyone else notice that the paint on the railing appears to be in better condition where the tree is touching it than in the open parts? Sort of like the tree is preserving the rail rather than destroying it. Perhaps in this case, Nature is embracing Man rather than merely enduring his impact?
Hey JT, thanks for stopping by.
I agree, it does seem the tree is preserving the railing … I like the name “Nature Embracing Man” better too … it’s more appropriate for this photo.
The way the tree is wrapping its arms around the rail seems more like an embrace.
Nature at it’s best. This is truly an incredible picture that you’ve captured.
